
Matthias Albrecht is a specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. He is Managing Director at KLUG and is responsible for establishing a competence center for climate-resilient hospitals and healthcare facilities. Following his clinical work at Charité Berlin, he most recently served for 15 years as Managing Director of Evangelisches Krankenhaus Hubertus in Berlin. Krankenhaus Hubertus gained nationwide recognition as the first hospital certified by BUND.
In addition to his experience in hospital management, Matthias Albrecht also brings extensive experience in professional healthcare policy. He is a member of the Assembly of Delegates of the Berlin Medical Association, a member of the “Climate Change” working group of the German Medical Association, and Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Berlin Medical Pension Fund. His extensive knowledge of the healthcare system helps him support healthcare institutions on their path toward climate neutrality and climate resilience.
