Matthias Bergmann is Senior Project Manager PMI at LEONHARD WEISS GmbH & Co. KG and has more than 30 years of experience in the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure and construction projects.

After studying mining engineering at the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology, he began his professional career in the mining sector before moving into pipeline construction and later into civil engineering and infrastructure development. In senior management roles at Johann Bunte, Bilfinger Berger, STRABAG, and now LEONHARD WEISS, he has been responsible for numerous large-scale projects in Germany and other European countries.

His focus is on managing challenging construction projects under complex and demanding conditions. In particular, he works on resilient infrastructure, large-scale project management, and the lessons learned from reconstruction efforts following the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley. His perspective combines technical expertise with extensive practical experience gained from delivering complex construction projects.
