Gabriele Blume is a member of the board of the Evangelische Altenheimat Foundation. After completing her training as a nurse in 1987, she initially worked in Switzerland, where she obtained the Swiss diploma in general nursing. Her professional path then led her to work in an interdisciplinary intensive care unit and to help establish a home care service. From 1994 to 1999, she studied business administration with a focus on healthcare institutions. Since then, she has held various leadership positions in the Baden-Württemberg region, primarily in Stuttgart.

As a nurse, family caregiver, and graduate in business administration (University of Applied Sciences), she is deeply committed to addressing the financial sustainability of care. Her dedication is particularly focused on innovative care models – she regularly contributes her expertise to pilot and partner projects in the fields of palliative care as well as the use of assistive technologies such as care robotics, AI, and digital solutions.
