Dr. Stefan Carsten is a futurologist and urban and mobility expert. He was a project manager in futurology and environmental research at Daimler AG in Berlin, where he designed new mobility services such as car2go and moovel. Since 2014, he has been a freelance author, consultant and speaker in the fields of the future, space and mobility. He is currently on the advisory board of the Federal Ministry of Transport for "Strategic Guidelines for Public Transport in Germany", the Reallabor Radbahn and the municipal housing company Howoge in Berlin. He works with various stakeholders in Germany and abroad: with the bicycle industry, public transport companies, the automotive industry, the financial, health and energy sectors, the Federal Criminal Police Office and cities and municipalities. In spring 2024, he opened the new "City - Country - Future" research framework in Berlin with the Federal Minister of Education and Research. He is married, has two children and lives and works in Berlin.
