Silvio Cilia is a Maltese qualified lawyer specializing in international taxation and private client advisory and founding partner at Corrieri Cilia. Silvio was awarded a doctorate in law from the University of Malta and an Advanced LL.M from the Leiden International Tax Centre in the Netherlands. He also holds a diploma in trust law and administration. His areas of expertise include advising and assisting international corporate and high net worth individuals/families on cross border wealth and business transactions. He regularly advises on the tax and legal structuring, reorganization and relocation of international holding companies and groups, the taxation of cross-border trading in  goods and the provision of services as well as the design and implementation of Maltese regulated business organizations in the fields of financial services, internet gaming and crypto as well as yachting and aviation. His professional experience also includes advising and assisting clients on personal immigration and relocation options in Malta and beyond and is an accredited agent in the field. He also serves on the board of directors of a number of holding companies and collective investment schemes based in Malta and is a member of the International Fiscal Association, the International Bar Association, the Malta Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, the Chamber of Advocates of Malta and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
