Stuard Detmer is an experienced international energy executive and Senior Partner of Blacktree Energy Group in Geneva, Switzerland.

Previously, he was the CEO of Sibir Energy PLC, a Russia-based integrated independent with over 80,000 bpd of crude production, 100,000 bpd of refining capacity and 135 service stations in the Moscow. He oversaw the company’s sale to Gazpromneft.

He also served as CEO of Aminex PLC, an African exploration company, and Senior Independent Director of Exillon Energy PLC, a Russian E&P company, from its IPO until change in control. Subsequently, he was Acting Chairman of Nobel Oilfield Services, Inc, a privately held oilfield services company in Azerbaijan. Earlier in his career, he served in both upstream and downstream roles with Mobil Oil Corporation in the United States, Latin America and Russia.

Mr. Detmer holds a BA in Economics and Russian from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration.
