Dr. Markus Freiburg built FASE into a leading impact finance advisor in Europe. FASE has supported more than 110 impact ventures in raising more than EUR 100 million. By 2035, the goal is to mobilize EUR 1 billion. In addition, Markus established the two co-investment funds ESIIF and ECIIF, which are the only impact funds in Europe that provide patient capital to impact ventures and are secured by EU guarantees. Markus is a widely respected expert on impact investing across Europe and Incoming Chair of the Board of Impact Europe. Markus studied in Witten/Herdecke and Cambridge, earned his doctorate at WHU, and worked for many years at McKinsey.
