Christian Freiherr von Bechtolsheim is a German entrepreneur who served as Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Lithuania from 2012 to 2018. He studied Business Administration and Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, graduating in 1987 with a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann). He subsequently worked in asset management at the Matuschka Group and held senior positions at Bayerische Vereinsbank and Dresdner Bank.

From 1996 until June 2000, he was Head of Division and Director at DG Capital Management GmbH, the asset management subsidiary of the DG Bank Group. Since mid-2000, he has been a founding shareholder and Spokesperson of the Executive Board at FOCAM AG, Frankfurt am Main.
