Anna Hanau studied industrial engineering with a specialization in civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Lean Construction was the central topic of her master’s thesis in 2016.

After managing two hotel construction sites with the Last Planner System as a site manager, she moved to an engineering office. There, together with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, she developed a research paper on the topic of trust and control within the framework of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), which was published in 2022.

Since 2023, she has been working as a Lean Manager at Wolff & Müller in the Cologne branch. In addition, as area coordinator, she is responsible for the company-wide implementation and application of Lean Construction.
