Lukas Heise is the Managing Partner of the Gelsenkirchener Fischbach Group, one of Germany’s leading companies in building refurbishment, with around 600 employees and annual revenues in the nine-figure range. Together with his friend Danny Fischbach, he took over Klaus Fischbach GmbH, a local plastering company, in 2009 following the serious illness of Danny’s father. Over the course of sixteen years, the two entrepreneurs developed the company into today’s corporate group, with all refurbishment-related trades — from façade work to roofing — represented across twelve wholly owned subsidiaries. This achievement is even more remarkable considering that Lukas entered the company as an industry outsider with no prior experience in construction: at the time, he was a professional ice hockey player, just like Danny Fischbach.
As an integrated 360-degree service provider and platform covering all relevant refurbishment trades through its own companies or profit centers, the group has become an ideal partner for the housing industry. In recent years, it has carried out some of the country’s largest neighborhood development and refurbishment projects.
