Dr. med. Karin Hochbaum is Medical Managing Director at the Ernst von Bergmann Hospital in Potsdam, a specialized care hospital with 33 departments and extensive outpatient structures, as well as at the West Brandenburg Hospital, a children’s specialty clinic with a Level 1 perinatal center. She is a surgeon, economist, and hospital manager and has already held various management positions in hospitals. Her main areas of activity are medical strategy, leadership of the medical departments, scientific and academic development of the clinic, innovative care concepts, and management of hospital operations. She is involved in the further development and optimization of process flows and improvement of patient outcomes, as well as in the establishment of a medical degree program in cooperation with a private medical university.
