
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Jacob has been Managing Director of Implenia Hochbau GmbH since January 1, 2018, and has served as Country President Germany since March 1, 2019.
After completing his studies, doctorate, and academic work at TU Dortmund University, he has been active in the construction industry since 1987. He has held various management positions, including Chairman of the Management Board of Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH from 2007 to 2010, Technical Managing Director of Wolff & Müller Holding GmbH & Co. KG from 2011 to 2017, and a position on the Group Executive Board of Implenia from 2019 to 2022.
Matthias Jacob is particularly committed to the topic of building quality in planning, execution, and operation, as well as to interdisciplinary exchange aimed at optimizing quality in projects. Since 2005, he has been intensively involved in the sustainability aspects of real estate. In addition, he advocates the continuous optimization of processes to increase efficiency in the construction industry (Lean Management), with a particular focus on the implementation and further development of BIM (Building Information Modeling) — the digitalization of the construction value chain.
Matthias Jacob is Vice President Building Construction of the German Construction Industry Association and Chairman of the Board of the German Concrete and Construction Technology Association.
In addition to his membership on the advisory boards of the Master’s programs in Real Estate Management (REM) and Construction Project Management (CPM), as well as his honorary professorship at the University of Wuppertal, he gives expert lectures at various German universities and professional conferences.
