After a career as a researcher and teacher in pathology, I have dedicated the last ten years to helping the Belgian hospitals implement and safely use the international standards for digital data exchange chosen in our national e-health plan.

To achieve this, I founded the Community Support of Clinical Terminologies, a community of practice that has evolved into a recognised bottom-up expertise centre and a key partner for our national authorities.

I am currently also involved in the EU-co-funded Xpanding Innovative Alliance project, which aims to provide the training needed to support the implementation of the new EEHRxF format.
