I'm Robbert Lodewijks, CEO and co-founder of HULO.ai. I grew up in a village in the north of the Netherlands, where a close-knit community and strong values shaped who I am. With a background in mechanical engineering and business administration, I’ve always been driven by curiosity, how things work, how systems connect, and how people thrive when given trust and responsibility.

Living in Taiwan during my studies opened my eyes to nature, but also global inequalities, especially around basic needs. That experience sparked a deeper purpose: I wanted to spend my time building something meaningful. In 2021, I co-founded HULO with my co-founders Frank and Rudy as a spin-off company focused on one of the world’s most pressing challenges—reducing water loss and ensuring access to safe, reliable drinking water. At HULO, we’re revolutionizing how water networks are monitored, using data and AI to detect leaks and inefficiencies before they become critical. My vision is that one day, I’ll be able to tell my grandchildren how we helped improve lives around the world by making clean water truly abundant.

I’m a go-getter at heart—honest, ambitious, and people-focused. I believe in leading by trusting others, creating space for growth, and building strong teams that move fast with purpose. Above all, I’m a family man inspired by making a lasting, positive impact.
