Ralph Obermauer has been Head of the Mobility and Vehicle Construction department at the Executive Board of IG Metall since April 2022. Previously, he was responsible for industrial, energy, climate and transport policy in the Fundamental Issues and Social Policy department. He studied in Cologne and New York, worked as a freelance journalist and was a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the German Bundestag for many years.
