Christian Potthoff joined Diakonie Michaelshoven after spending ten years in senior financial management positions within municipal administration. In his role in Strategic Site Development, he drove the organization's expansion strategy. Over the following six years, he was responsible for the planning and implementation of new sites and projects across various areas of social services, including long-term care.

His extensive work on the challenges and future of long-term care sparked a particular passion for the sector. As Managing Director, he combines his experience in public administration with expertise in project and site development, maintaining a clear focus on the needs of older adults. His goal is to develop sustainable care and support services, empower employees, and balance quality, economic viability, and compassionate care.

In 2025, the business economist was recognized as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" leaders in nursing and care management.
