Sascha Saßen is the Managing Director of the Berlin-based hesena Group. A registered nurse by profession and holder of a Diploma in Nursing Management (University of Applied Sciences), he combines extensive hands-on clinical experience with strong expertise in business and healthcare management.

Prior to joining hesena, he served for seven years as Chief Quality Officer at Korian Germany. Recognized as an expert in digital transformation, quality management, and risk management in long-term care, Saßen is also a lecturer at FOM University of Applied Sciences (FFH) Düsseldorf and serves as a board member of bpa e.V. North Rhine-Westphalia. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and lecturer at industry conferences and regularly publishes articles on current challenges facing the healthcare and long-term care sectors.
