Jakob Scholz has been Deputy Head of Division for IT & Digital Health since September 2022.

He studied Medical Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. At the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Westphalia-Lippe, he is responsible for the Digital Health division, focusing on the digitalization of outpatient care and the digital transformation of medical practices.

Thanks to his many years of experience in healthcare self-administration—both in the hospital sector in North Rhine-Westphalia and in outpatient care in Westphalia-Lippe—he brings in-depth knowledge of the healthcare system and a strong understanding of the needs of its stakeholders. He is also well-versed in primary systems, digital applications, and interoperability standards.
