Marc Schwetlik has been Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at the insurance group die Bayerische since 2011. In this role, he manages investments totaling EUR 5 billion, has increased the ratio in alternatives from 3% to 23% and achieved a return well above the industry average.

Prior to this, he worked for 12 years in various management positions, particularly in the Talanx Group.

The medium-sized insurance group die Bayerische was founded in 1858 and consists of three insurance companies. The group's total premium income is around 900 million euros and it manages investments amounting to 5 billion euros.
