
Dr. Songül Secer was born on 15 May 1973 in Nazimiye, Tunceli. She lives in Hamburg and is the mother of one child. After training as an office administrator and bringing up her child, she decided to study medicine, which she successfully completed in 2005 at the Ruhr University in Bochum.
She began her medical career as a junior doctor in various clinics before specialising in internal medicine and cardiology. She has specialised in internal medicine since 2011 and in cardiology since 2014. Dr Secer has gained extensive experience in managerial positions, particularly in telemedicine, including at the HDZ-NRW and various Asklepios clinics. Since May 2012, she has been Senior Physician and Head of E-Health at the Central German Heart Centre at the University Hospital Halle (Saale).
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Secer has been involved in development aid and speaks German, Turkish and English. She was involved in the establishment of several TMZs, the IFAT / WZAT, the German Telemed and the IZT Asklepios Hamburg. In addition, she was involved in the development of Telemd file development Med. Power 1 - SVA.
