After many years of working for traditional private equity asset managers and hedge funds, Susanne Bregy decided in 2012 to dedicate herself to the topic of impact investing. Since then, she has been consistently pursuing the vision of bringing impact investing into the mainstream.

From London and New York, she engaged with exciting impact topics, highly professional institutional investors and family offices, asset managers, advisors, and service providers from all over the world – and above all, with passionate people.

Since returning to Germany, she has worked at PHINEO, where, as head of department with her team, she helped to shake up the German impact investing market. With an impactful organization like PHINEO, she was able to ensure that every investor thinks in three categories when investing: risk, return, and impact.

Since February 1, 2024, Susanne Bregy has been Managing Director of the Federal Initiative for Impact Investing.
