Christian Urschel has served as Managing Director of vevio Inklusionsbetrieb gGmbH since 2017. Based in Spiesen-Elversberg, Saarland, he leads vevio Hotel & Events, an inclusive hospitality venture comprising a hotel, restaurant, and event venue, celebrated for its commitment to inclusion and thoughtfully designed, accessible spaces. The team numbers around 60 dedicated professionals. In 2023, the innovative GymLodge concept, also part of vevio Hotel & Events, garnered multiple awards, highlighting the company’s forward-thinking approach.

With a background rooted in hospitality, Christian specialises in management, process optimisation, and the strategic development of independent hotels. His professional journey includes formal training as a hotel specialist, complemented by international studies in hotel management. He has previously held roles as an entrepreneur overseeing several hotel operations in the Black Forest, and as a lecturer and programme director in hotel and tourism management at a private university in Freiburg.
