Dr. Max von Holleben has been active in the hospital sector in various management positions for over 10 years. During this time, he has worked for different operators, both in the private and in the municipal sector, and has managed both elective hospitals as well as a large specialized care provider.

Since the beginning of 2024, he has been working in group management for the Artemed Group and, in this role, is responsible not only for four Artemed hospitals but also for the group’s HR department.

Before moving into the hospital sector, he spent 5 years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he primarily advised in the health care sector—mainly global pharma and med-tech companies.

By background, he is a PhD biologist and immunologist.

What excites him most about working in hospitals is the collaboration with colleagues from the medical field—physicians, nurses, and therapists alike. The energy and commitment they bring every day to ensure the best possible care for patients also drives him. He is convinced that the ongoing field of tension between quality and cost-effectiveness can only be mastered through close and trusting cooperation between all areas of care.
