
Prof. Dr. med. Wolfgang C. G. von Meißner, MHBA, studied human medicine in Ulm, Jacksonville, AL (USA), and Oulu (Finland). As a specialist in anesthesiology with additional qualifications in emergency medicine and intensive care, he worked at Klinikum Stuttgart. Between 2010 and 2015, he served as medical director of the DRK State School of Baden-Württemberg, where he helped establish the professional profile of the emergency paramedic.
In 2014, he decided to make a lateral move to become a specialist in general medicine at the general practitioners Hausärzte am Spritzenhaus in Baiersbronn in the northern Black Forest. Since 2017, he has been co-founder of several medical care centers (MVZ) as well as Gesund vorOrt – Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH, which manages more than ten large general practices and MVZ in Baden-Württemberg. In addition, he is co-founder of the start-up MediTech-ai.de.
As co-editor of the Thieme journal Allgemeinmedizin up2date and as a member of the State Medical Association committees for emergency medicine and medical professions, he is committed to the further development of general medicine. Moreover, he is a co-opted board member for digitalization (#HÄPPI) in the General Practitioners’ Association of Baden-Württemberg. Since 2023, he has been teaching as a part-time professor for Physician Assistance with a focus on general medicine at CBS University of Applied Sciences.
