
Thomas Voß, born in 1958, has held management positions in the healthcare sector for over 36 years, most recently as Commercial Director of the LWL clinics in Münster and Lengerich. In 1998/1999, he was responsible for the introduction of an EMAS environmental management system at the LWL Clinic in Münster. In 1999, the clinic was the first psychiatric hospital in Germany to be validated according to EMAS, followed by the LWL Clinic Lengerich in 2011. In addition to his role as Commercial Director, he was the EMAS environmental management representative with ultimate responsibility for the system. Since 2016, he has been a member of the ‘Bank der Wirtschaft’ environmental expert committee UGA, an independent multi-stakeholder advisory body at the Federal Ministry for the Environment and, since 2022, a member of the ‘Climate-neutral hospital’ advisory board of the North Rhine-Westphalia Hospital Association KGNW e.V.
