Bio

Jutta Weigand is the Managing Director of Sozialstiftung Bamberg Altenhilfe gGmbH and, in this role, is responsible for a wide range of facilities and services providing care for the elderly and senior citizens: residential care with 148 places, outpatient care with two day-care centres (60 places), the assisted living programme (63 apartments), shared accommodation (24 flats), the home care service providing care for around 140 patients, and neighbourhood management at three locations.

Her professional qualifications include a diploma in social pedagogy (FHC), a diploma in business administration (VWA), partial studies in social management (FHC), a postgraduate diploma (MBA in Healthcare) and training as an Agile Coach (HRPIONEER).

Ms Weigand looks back on 40 years of professional responsibility in various roles within the social and healthcare sectors. Her career can be summarised as follows:

  • 7 years as head of the social pedagogy department at a residential care home, including the establishment of a model facility for employment and support
  • 17 years designing and managing a senior citizens’ centre / multi-generational house as a model facility for cross-generational civic engagement, within which she established Bavaria’s first specialist centre for family carers
  • 5 years as a lecturer at Coburg University of Applied Sciences
  • 25 years as a referee
