Daniel Torakai is a civil engineer and studied at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He wrote his diploma thesis at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago on self-powered skyscrapers. Since 2011, Daniel Torakai has been part of the Werner Sobek group of companies. After Stuttgart, Moscow, and London, he has been Managing Director at Werner Sobek Frankfurt since 2021. In recent years, Mr. Torakai has worked on national and international large-scale projects. These include, among others: Stuttgart 21, Kuwait International Airport, and the new high-rise ensemble FOUR in Frankfurt. Mr. Torakai teaches textile architecture at the Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design (ILEK) as well as sketching for engineers in Stuttgart.
